Our school community garden is a shared space where students, families, and staff come together to learn, grow, and connect with nature. It’s a living classroom where kids discover how food is grown, care for the earth, and experience the joy of harvesting something they’ve nurtured. For many students—especially those who may find the traditional classroom more challenging—the garden is a safe haven and a place to shine. Watching the kids flourish here is one of the most rewarding parts of our community.
Running the garden committee means helping bring this vision to life: setting up lessons and activities, tending the plants, coordinating volunteers, and occasionally purchasing supplies. Past committee heads will provide full guidance and support so everyone feels confident and connected. No experience is needed—so all that’s required is enthusiasm and a willingness to dig in (sometimes literally!).
