Multi-Cultural Fair - January 26, 2023

We are excited to hold our first annual Multi-Cultural Fair to celebrate the diversity of Cottage Lake Elementary. We need volunteers to help with setup and clean up, so please sign up below if you are able to help.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Sail Around the World

Check in and receive your passport, then head to the gym and visit each of the 17 cultures represented. Don't forget to add your sticker to your passport as you visit each table.

The cafeteria will be open for arts and crafts.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Community Performances

At 6 PM we will learn a fun dance from Rhythms of India.

At 6:30 PM we will finish the night out with a special instruction of the salsa and bachata by LaVida Studio.

The cafeteria will be open for arts and crafts.

*La Riviera Maya food truck will be on site from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm as a dinner option*

What will I do at the event?

We will have families representing 14 different cultures that you will be able to learn about. When you arrive, you will be given a passport. When you visit each table, you will get a special sticker to add to your passport that represents the culture you learned about. The displays will be interactive and a great way to learn about new cultures. Some families will have bite sized food items for you to sample, special items to explore, fun facts, etc.

We will also have two performances put on by community groups.

The cafeteria will be open for arts and crafts for kiddos that need to get away from the noise or just need a break from exploring!

La Riviera Maya food truck will be on site.
